I would like to take this opportunity and outline what has been on my mind for the past few days:
After graduation, I'm going to work all summer at the camp I worked at last summer, make some good solid money, then take off in August or September for a few months and backpack either SE Asia or South America. I go through many phases like this...I get so wrapped up in the thought of traveling that its all I think about/google for days. Then school happens and I just forget and suddenly it will be graduation, I'll come back and read this entry and think "damn...it could've been". But no! This will be real!
Europe is ruled out because I can go when I'm older. It will still be there in all its glory. Going with a friend has been ruled out too because the chances of finding someone who a) won't drive me completely nuts and b) will be in perfect health/have 4 months of time/have enough money are very slim. If you think you fit the mold, let me know!
So there it is. My goals. Then I guess I can find a job and live in DC or somewhere.
Now I just have to pick where to go! And I can't rule out New Zealand...maybe that could be packaged in with SE Asia.
BTW this weekend promises to be great. Little cheeks AND Laura ANDDD Emily! What a joyous group of people.
