Well, I changed the name of the blog. The former was too goofy, if that's possible (the url has stayed the same until some timeless catchy name pops into my life). So I've chosen the decidedly less goofy and more mysterious interesting "l'arte d'arrangiarsi". This might be a little odd seeing as how I don't speak Italian, BUT: I have been to Italy the same year I dated had super awkward hugs with an Italian, AND I've read Eat Pray Love twice (don't see the movie). That's all gotta count for something right? Probably not, but I'll take whatever justification I can get. It means "the art of making something out of nothing". I chose this new name because, after a great deal of thought, it is something that we Foggs are pretty good at. Plus, we have every episode of Seinfeld recorded on VHS and I'm pretty sure my little sister's first words were "give me the marble rye ya old bag!"so you know we have a certain knack for enjoying "nothingness". All this means is that I think we have the most fun as a family when we're sitting around, either outside on the patio or inside around the dinner table, talking and laughing. The hours slip by, someone has spurted water out of their nose at least once, a variety of voices have been used, many people have been made fun of, and we reached some sort of level of transcendence. My family is a pack of weirdos, that's for sure, but they're pretty awesome.

Emily and I (and Shancakes of course) are pretty good at this too. I'll never forget when Emily, me and my neighbor were sitting on the trampoline (RIP) talking. And talking for a while. Finally, my neighbor said "guys this is SO BORING. When are we going to do something?" Emily and I looked at each other, astonished, and from then on I never really hung out with my neighbor again. The situation wasn't boring, HE WAS BORING. Lame-o. Hope his days are full of never ending fun and excitement and that he never stops to enjoy where he is, right now. Thought Catalog brought this up, that so often we're either looking back fondly on the past or asking/planning about the future. There is no present. Sad.

In other news, work has been great! I won a free happy hour at a DC bar for last night! I invited a bunch of people to go and get free/cheap drinks for a few hours. Turned out to be one of the more joyous nights I've ever had in DC. Shannon got empanadas - twice, oops - and completely and utterly ate it outside of a club we went to. She laid on the street and laughed for about 4 minutes straight. Laura and I laughed for about 6 minutes straight. Think we scared off a few random passerbyers in the process, but in the immortal words of my fallen friends "FERK THEM".

I've also updated and made my portfolio public, check LinkedIn for that, and am semi pleased with it. Speaking of pleasure, have you read 50 Shades of Grey? Holy hell. WTF IS GOING ON << me while I read. Scandalous!

Okay, off to wrap presents for father's day. Little cheeks is graduating high school on Monday! Getting so old <3

Check out these fake fragrance/"sunwear" ads Em and I made. Our friend, Spencer, was unknowingly the subject of a photo shoot on his boat, and they ended up being too priceless to not do anything with. My personal fave is "L'eau du Potomac". Water of the Potomac - gross!
